Two killed in Madaripur road crash

Two people, including the driver, were killed when a three-wheeler, locally known as Nosimon, hit a truck parked at Rajoir Upazila in Madaripur on Thursday morning.
The deceased were identified as Sohail Munshi, son of Shahjahan Munshi of Mithapur village in Madaripur Sadar and Selim Khalifa, onion trader, son of Nur Uddin Khalifa of Uttar Dudhkhali village.
Deen Mohammad, in-charge of the Mustafapur Highway outpost, said Nosimon came from Madaripur, hit the back of a standing truck, killing two people on the spot. Upon receiving the news, the Mustafapur Highway Police came and recovered the bodies and seized the truck and Nosimon.
He added that Tk 18,500 was recovered from onion trader Selim Khalifa during the rescue operation. The money will be handed over to his family.
