Two killed in Bogura road accident

At least two people were killed including ten others injured in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a freight truck in Bogura's Sherpur upazila today.
The accident took place at Ghoga Battala Beej area of Dhaka-Bogura highway in the upazila around 5:30 pm on Friday.
However, the six critically injured people have been admitted to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SZRMC).
One of the dead was identified as Jamal Hossain, son of Taslim Uddin of Omardighi village in Shajahanpur upazila of Bogura district.
Sherpur Police Station SI Tanmoy Barman said a Bogura-bound Sarkar Paribahan bus leaving from Dhaka collided head-on with a truck carrying cement poles in the Battala Beej area and two people were killed on the spot.
He added that after being informed he along with members of the highway police rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations. The injured were rushed to Bogura's SZRMC with the help of locals.
