A total of two of the six suspects in the Red Notice of Interpol have been arrested in a human trafficking case filed in Libya.

Among them, Shahadat Hossain (29) of Madaripur has been detained from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. On the other hand, Zafar Iqbal (38) of Kishoreganj has been arrested by the Italian police.

AIG Mohiul Islam of the National Central Bureau (NCB) of Bangladesh Police, who is coordinating with Interpol at the police headquarters, confirmed the information to the media.

The two detainees are accused in a case of killing 30 people including 28 Bangladeshis in a shooting by human traffickers in the Libyan city of Mizdah in May last year.

The CID sought the cooperation of Interpol last November to nab the two, including six human traffickers. However, there are another four accused Tanjirul, Swapan, Nazrul Islam Mollah, and Mintu Mia still at large.
