Two cases filed against Firoz

Two cases were filed against Kalabagan Krira Chakra President Shafiqul Alam Firoz, who was detained along with yellow yaba tablets on Friday, with Dhanmondi police station under arms and narcotics acts.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) filed the cases on Saturday morning, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Latif of the police station.
A team of RAB-2 conducted a drive Kalabagan Krira Chakra in the capital on Friday night. Before raiding the club in search of a potential illegal casino on the day, clubs' president Shafiqul Alam Firoz was detained around 1:30 pm.
At a press briefing in the night, Captain Ashik Billah of RAB-2 said that a total of five staff of the club were detained in the drive. US-made foreign coins, 572 packets of playing cards and gambling equipment, casino-style scoreboard, a foreign-made firearm, three rounds of bullet and methamphetamine-based yaba tablets were seized during the operation.
