A total of 257 cadets, including two cadets of Saudi Arabia, have received commissions in BMA’s 76th long-course, on Saturday.
To celebrate the program, BMA organized the Presidential Parade at its Bhatiari parade ground in Chattogram, while President Md. Abdul Hamid attended as Chief Guest and delivered valuable speeches. Later, he distributed crests among the award-winning cadets for their outstanding performance.
Of the 257 cadets, there are 254 of Bangladesh, two from Saudi Arabia and another one from Sri Lanka while 217 are male and 37 are female of them. Besides, more 29 Saudi cadets are undergoing training from BMA now.
Battalion Senior under Officer A K M Injamamul Haque was awarded the most prestigious ' Sword of Honour', for all-round performance while Company Senior Officer Ibne Izaz Hasan received the 'Chief of Army Staff ( CAS) Gold Medal' for the performance in military subjects.
Noted that, Chief of Intelligence of Saudi Land Forces and Commandant of King Abdul Aziz Military Academy attended the ceremony in BMA, while Bangladesh Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed, Admiral Nizamuddin Ahmed and Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, MPs, Army Training and Doctrine Command, GOC, Lieutenant General Md. Nazim Uddin; Commandant of BMA, Major General Anwarul Momen, GOC of 24 Infantry Division and Commander of Chattogram Area Division; Major General SM Motiur Rahman, Foreign Commission's diplomats of Dhaka, high and civil officials and parents and guardians of newly commissioned officers were present among others.
