Two RMG workers killed in Malibagh road crash

Two Garments workers were killed in a road accident in the capital's Malibagh area today. The deceased are Meem (16) and Nahid Parvin Poly (22).

Police have arrested the bus driver in this incident. The bodies of two deceased were kept in Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue. Police confirmed that they are garment workers.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital sources said that Meem and Parvin were walking through the road at Chowdhurypara of Malibagh at around 1:30 pm. At that time, a bus of Suprovat Paribahan run over them. Mim died on the spot while Parvin died after she was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Sergent Subrata Kumar Dey said that he brought Parvin to the hospital immediately after being wounded, but the her life was not saved. The bodies of the two girls were kept in the morgue. Their identity was not immediately known. Later, their colleagues came to the morgue to identify the body.

Hatirjheel Police Station officer-in-charge of Hatirjheel Police Station said that the driver of the bus and bus was arrested in this incident.
