Truck rams 2 motorcyclists in N’ganj

Two motorcyclists were killed when a truck rammed them on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway’s Sadipur Palli Bidyut Power Station area in Mograpara UP on Tuesday night. 

Kanchpur Highway Police Station recovered their bodies and sent them to Narayanganj General Hospital Morgue for autopsy.

The deceased were identified as Chayed Mia, son of Chorot Ali of Bebitek Ashara village in Habiganj, Sylhet and Rahmat Ali, son of Karam Ali of the same area.

Confirming the matter on Wednesday afternoon, Kanchpur Highway Police Station OC Moniruzzaman said Chayed Mia and Rahmat Ali were going to Dhaka from Cumilla on a motorcycle around 10:30 pm on Tuesday. 

On the way, “a truck coming at a reckless speed” in front of Palli Bidyu Power Station in Mograpara Sadipur area hit the motorcycle and two motorcyclists rammed under the truck. They died on the spot. The truck was seized but the driver, helper escaped. Legal action will be taken in this regard, he added.
