Travelling Cox’s Bazar sea beach banned

A travel ban has been imposed in the nearby tourist centers including Cox’s Bazar sea beach to cope with the coronavirus situation in the country. The ban will remain in force until further notice. 

Md Fakhrul Islam, Assistant Superintendent (ASP) of Cox’s Bazar tourist police, confirmed the matter on Wednesday afternoon. 

He said the authorities are notifying the tourists who have already visited the beach. “The decision was taken by the government considering the public interest. The decision will remain in force until further instructions.”

Meanwhile, Cox’s Bazar DC Md Kamal Hossain said the school was shut down so that the students should stay at home. “But we see everyone crowded around the beach. So the decision was taken to avoid the risk.”

He added that many domestic and foreign tourists are coming, as a result, Cox’s Bazar is at risk of coronavirus. “The decision of the travel ban was taken to avoid the risk of the corona. At the same time, a warning has been issued to prevent gatherings at the beach. Tourist police are removing tourists from the beach.”

Coronavirus infection has spread worldwide which the terror has also increased in Bangladesh, in the meantime, one died and 14 were affected by the virus in the country.
