Travel in 54 districts just by walking

A youth named Kawsar Ahmed of Araihazar upazila of Narayanganj already has completed traveling about 54 districts just by walking on foot who wants to travel all 64 districts of the country for the purpose of protecting the natural environment of Bangladesh. 

Meanwhile, he arrived in Laxmipur, the 55th number district of his mission, on Friday. With a slogan “Ghure Dekhi Bangladesh, Sundor Thakuk Poribesh” — he started journey from his district Narayanganj on November 1.

His next destination is Chandpur District. He walks an average of 48 kilometers every day. 

Meanwhile, local volunteer organizations have greeted Kawsar with flower wreath as well as welcomed such initiative.

Kausar Ahmed said, “I started the journey on behalf of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) to inspire young people. I am implementing tree planting programs in each district with this. After traveling Barishal as the 54th district, I came to Laxmipur. On Saturday, the 44th day, I will go to Chandpur and then to Cumilla.” 

In the last 43 days, he has walked in 54 districts of the country for which he has to cross 2077.32 kilometers and will complete his journey of Laxmipur, the 55th district, on Saturday. 
Born in Araihazar Upazila of Narayanganj, Kawsar is currently doing business after completing his Master’s from Government Safor Ali College under National University. 

He started the journey with the encouragement of renowned archaeologist and professor of Jahangirnagar University Dr. Shah Sufi Mustafizur Rahman.
