A court in Dhaka on Tuesday imposed travel ban on Managing Director (MD) of Bashundhara Group Sayem Sobhan Anvir in a case lodged for allegedly inciting a female college student to commit suicide.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahidul Islam passed the order, asking immigration police to take necessary steps to prevent the accused from fleeing the country.
The court came up with the order, allowing a plea of investigation officer and Gulshan Police Station officer-in-charge Abul Hasan.
Earlier, victim Mosarat Jahan Muniya’s sister filed the case with Gulshan Police Station against Anvir for inciting her to commit suicide.
Police recovered the body of Munia hanging from the ceiling fan at her rented flat at Road-120 in Gulshan-2 on Monday.
