Income tax fair ’19 kicks off
Tk 323 cr revenue collected in 1st day

On the first day of the 10th income tax fair, a revenue of Tk 323 crore 18 lakh 93 thousand and 885 has been collected as to total 63 thousand and 272 taxpayers submitted returns while 1 lakh 35 thousand and 758 people received the services; informed National Board of Revenue (NBR) on Thursday evening. And 4,376 people have registered with new e-TINs, the government’s revenue board also stated.
The fair has started in the country’s divisional cities, including Dhaka, on Thursday, and the biggest fair has been kicked off at the Officers Club premises on Bailey Road in the capital while Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal inaugurated the fair in the capital fair at 1 pm this noon.
Income tax fair is being held in 8 divisional cities, 64 districts and 56 upazilas including the capital. Taxpayers have thanked the organizers for getting all the services at one point and for ease of return procedures.
The NBR has organized the fair in 120 spots across the country including in all divisional cities for 7days, all district headquarters for four days, for two days in 48 upazilas and a day-long fair in eight upazilas.
There are 53 helpdesks. There are 2,250 square feet e-TIN zone, 52 return booths, four bank desks, two ATM booths in Dhaka fair.
This year's income tax fair has digital privileges. Taxpayers sitting in any corner of Bangladesh can find the location, distance and time of income tax fair by visiting the website www.aykormela.gov.bd online. With the introduction of mobile banking services, taxpayers are getting the opportunity to pay taxes easily, NBR said. As a result, taxpayers will not have to spend extra time finding the nearest income tax fair spot.
