Bangladesh women's team confirmed the departure of the T20 in the women's T20 World Cup 2020 through the triple defeat in a row. The Tigress tied New Zealand only at 91 runs at Melbourne. In reply, Bangladesh's innings ended at 74 runs for extreme failure in batting. Salma Khatun's team left this year’s edition being defeated by 17 runs.

Bangladesh lost the top-order 5 batsmen by 40 runs in Melbourne. The remaining 5 wickets went lost for 34 runs and the team confirmed the hat-trick defeat in the Women’s T20 World Cup.

For Bangladesh, Niger Sultana scored a personal maximum of 21 runs. Apart from Murshida Khatun made 11 and Ritu Moni made 10. New Zealand's Jensen and Kasperek took three wickets each.

Earlier, the Kiwi girls scored 36 runs in the opening pair after winning the toss. Kiwi captain Sophie Devine was dismissed for 12 runs. After that, New Zealand lost the wicket at regular intervals by 91 runs. Rachel Priest scored the highest 25 runs. Suzy Bates made 15 runs for the team. For Bangladesh Ritu Moni and Salma Khatun took three wickets each.

Bangladesh will play the formality match against Sri Lanka on Monday.
