The Bangladesh national Test team has left Dhaka today to play a two-match Test series against Sri Lanka.
The Tigers left for Sri Lanka on a chartered flight of Bangladesh Biman Airlines at around 12:30 pm on Monday.
According to BCB sources, the entire team will be in “room quarantine” for three days after arriving in Sri Lanka. Then the ground practice will start. Bangladesh will play a warm-up match among themselves. The match will be played on April 17-18.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 21-member squad for the Sri Lanka tour on Friday. The selectors have announced the team as they were preparing for the warm-up match. Besides, Sri Lanka will not provide net bowlers, so additional bowlers have been included in the squad.
The two Tests of the series will be played at the Pallekelle International Cricket Stadium near Kandy. Although they have played ODIs and T20s in this field before, now the representatives of red-green will play the first Test. The first test will start on April 21 and the second will be on April 29.
