After completing the three-day compulsory quarantine in Sri Lanka, the Tigers have started training in a ground 20-km away from the hotel. The Bangladesh National Cricket Team is now in Sri Lanka to play two Tests as part of the Test Championship.
The Tigers started training on Thursday morning. Arriving in Sri Lanka, Team Bangladesh is staying at a hotel called Jet Young Beach in Negombo. The visitors will practice on Thursday and Friday. The next two days, i.e., April 17-18, will be a two-day warm-up match between them. The main squad of the Test series will be announced after reviewing everyone’s condition in this match.
Even then, there is an opportunity to practice for two days on April 19 and 20. After the practice, the fight of the main series will start on April 21. The second match will be played from April 29. Both matches will be played at the Pallekelle International Cricket Stadium in Kandy. Bangladesh team will return to the country on May 4 at the end of the series.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had earlier announced a 21-member preliminary squad for the upcoming series.
