Terrorist Guraputur killed in Cox`s Bazar shootout

Top terrorist Syed Ahmed alias Guraputur was killed in a shootout between two groups in Cox's Bazar. Police recovered his body from Kabita Chattar area of Cox's Bazar town on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Guraputur, son of Sabbir Ahmed of Isulughona area in Cox's Bazar. There are seven cases including murder and rape against him.
Confirming the matter, Sadar Police Station OC Md Shahjahan Kabir said that acting on information about a shootout between two groups over the Yaba dispute, a team of police rushed to the spot in the morning.
Sensing the presence of the law enforcers, the terrorists fled the scene. Guraputur was rescued with bullet-injuries from the spot. He was later taken to Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
A local pistol, two cartridges and 200 pieces of yaba tablets were recovered from the spot. The body has been kept in the hospital morgue. A case has been registered in the incident.
