A terrible fire broke out in a refrigerator factory in the Tipradi area of Narayanganj’s Sonargaon. 10 fire service units of different areas including Sonargaon are working to douse the fire.
The fire broke out at the factory on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway at around 11:00 am on Sunday.
Upon receiving the news of the fire, the locals rushed to the spot. The traffic on the highway was halted.
Sujan Kumar Hawlader, station officer of Sonargaon Fire Station, said 10 units including Sonargaon were working to control the fire. “Nothing was immediately known about the onset of the fire. Besides, nothing can be said about the damage yet,” he added.
