Temperature to rise with heavy rainfalls

Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country with moderately heavy to heavy rainfalls over the country in the next 24 hours ending tomorrow at 9:00 am.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said this in a weather bulletin issued on Saturday.
The country’s Met Office said light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by a temporary gusty wind of (8-15) kph is likely to occur at many places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.
Meanwhile, the land depression over West Bengal and the adjoining area has weakened into a well-marked low and currently lying over Bihar and adjoining area. The axis of the monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, the center of the well-marked low, West Bengal to Assam across the central part of Bangladesh, said the Met Office.
One of its associated troughs has extended up to North Bay. As a result, the monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay, the bulletin added.
The country’s maximum temperature recorded 33.1°C yesterday at Tetulia in Rangpur division while today’s minimum temperature recorded 25.0°C at Sandwip, Sitakunda, Rangamati, Cumilla, and Teknaf of Chattogram divisions.
Besides, the country’s maximum rainfall was recorded at 90mm at Khepupara in Barishal.
Today’s sunset will be at 6:43 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise will be at 5:28 am.
