Temperature may rise over country

Day and night temperature may rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius over the country, predicted Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Saturday.
The Met Office also forecasted that many places are likely to experience rain or thunder showers with temporary gusty or squally wind in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chattogram divisions. The weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy to cloudy sky elsewhere over the country," said a Met Office release issued this morning.
The maximum temperature was recorded yesterday 32.6 degrees Celsius at Satkhira and Jashore in Khulna division while today’s minimum temperature was 21.7 degrees Celsius at Rajarhat in Rangpur division. Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6:00 am today was recorded 16 millimetres (mm) in Rajarhat.
The sun sets at 6:38 pm today and rises at 5:12 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
