Temperature may rise by 1-2°C

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Sunday predicted that day temperature may rise by 1-2 degrees Celcius and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The Met Office also forecasted rain or thunder showers at one or two places over five divisions in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, , Mymensingh, Chattogram, Dhaka & Sylhet divisions and weather may remain mainly dry elsewhere over the country," said a met office release issued this morning.
The country’s maximum temperature was recorded yesterday by 35.9 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and the minimum temperature today was recorded by 18.5 degrees Celsius at Sayedpur under the Rangpur division.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6 am today was recorded by 32 millimeters (mm) at Rangamati under the Chattogram division.
The sun sets at 6:21 pm today and rises at 5:34 am tomorrow in the capital.
