Temperature may fall over country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday predicted that day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
The Met Office also forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country in the next 24-hour since 9:00 am today.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Chattogram and Rangpur divisions, at many places over Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the country today,” said a met office release issued this morning.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across the central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
The maximum temperature of the country was recorded yesterday 35.5 degrees Celsius jointly at Ishurdi and Tarash and minimum temperature today 25.3 degrees Celsius at Tetulia. Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today was recorded 65 milimeters (mm) at Tetulia.
The sun sets at 6:35 pm today and rises at 5:33 am tomorrow in the capital.
