Temperature may fall further

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Thursday predicted that day and night temperature may fall further by (1-2)° Celsius over the country in next 24 hours ending at 9:00 am tomorrow.
The Met Office also forecasted that rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind may occur at most places over the country during the period.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions and at a few places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over northern part of the country,” said a Met Office release issued this morning.
Besides, a mild heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the region of Rajshahi and it may abate, it added.
The country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 36.8 degrees Celsius at Jashore in Khulna division while today’s minimum temperature was 24.0 degrees Celsius at Kumarkhali in the same division.
The sun sets at 6:50 pm today and rises at 5:13 am tomorrow in the capital.
