Temperature may fall by 1-3°C

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Saturday predicted that Day temperature may fall by 1-3 degree Celsius and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The Met Office also forecasted that light to moderate rain is likely to occur at many places over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions," said a Met Office release issued this morning.
"Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country with moderately heavy to heavy falls over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions," it added.
Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon has withdrawn from Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions and the regions of Noakhali, Cumilla and Chattogram.
It persists over Cox’s Bazar region and the conditions are favourable for next withdrawal of southwest monsoon from remaining part of Bangladesh, the release added.
Monsoon is active over Cox’s Bazar region and moderate over North Bay. A low-pressure area is likely to form over east-central Bay and adjoining area during the next 24 hours.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00 am was 112 millimetres (mm) at M. Court.
Country’s maximum temperature was recorded yesterday by 36.1 degree Celsius at Sylhet and the lowest temperature today was recorded by 16.4 degree Celsius at Tetulia.
