Temperature likely to fall by 1-3°C

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Monday predicted day and night temperature may fall by 1-3 degrees Celcius over the country.
The Met Office also forecasted that light to moderate rain or thunder showers at many places over in the 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country," said the BMD in a release issued this morning.
Meanwhile, a mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Chandpur, Noakhali, Feni, Moulvibazar & Khulna and it may abate, it added.
Country’s maximum temperature was recorded yesterday 36.5 degrees Celsius at M.Court and Feni under Chattogram division while today's minimum temperature was 23.3 degrees Celsius at Tangail under Dhaka division.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6:00 am today was recorded 52 millimetres (mm) at Rangpur.
Today’s sunset at 6:41 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise at 5:11 am at Dhaka.
