Technical, madrasa teachers getting PM’s grant

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has decided to provide one-time financial assistance to non-MPO teachers and staff of technical, madrasas and independent ebtedayee madrasas, considering the financial crisis of the teachers.
This information was disclosed by the Prime Minister’s Press Wing in a press release on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the press release, the teachers and employees of non-MPO institutions are in financial crisis due to the shutdown of educational institutions. The Prime Minister has decided to provide one-time financial assistance to non-MPO teachers and staff of technical, madrasas and independent ebtedayee madrasas, considering the financial crisis of non-MPO teachers.
It was further informed that 51,226 teachers of these institutions will get Tk 5,000 per person and 10,204 employees will get Tk 2,500 per person – a total relief of Tk 27,18,40,000 financial grants will be given from the Prime Minister’s relief and welfare fund.
Earlier, the Prime Minister provided Tk 16,94,70,000 for the orphans and destitute of 13,929 Qawmi Madrasa and Tk 46,63,30,000 to 80,747 non-MPO teachers and 25,038 staff under Secondary and Higher Education Division.
