Despite the government's announcement to stop coaching and private teaching in all educational institutions due to the spread of the coronavirus epidemic in the country, the teachers of various educational institutions in Bogura's Adamdighi Upazila are ignoring it and carrying on private business in their homes without maintaining any social distance. The locals think that these trends of teachers are causing the risk of serious infection of coronavirus in the Upazila.
Although all types of educational institutions are closed in Adamdighi Upazila of Bogura, a class of greedy teachers of most educational institutions including Adamdighi Upazila Sadar, Santahar, Champapur Kundagram, Nasratpur, Chhatiangram, Muril, are gathering students in their respective homes ignoring the government directives. And thus, they continue the private trade in a new strategy freely.
Instead of using schoolbags and formal dresses, the students enter the teachers' house with textbooks in burlap bags. And then the teachers, close the main door and teach them privately.
Behind the Adamdighi Surma Clinic, IPJ High School’s pa-time teacher Nur Islam Mithu was seen at his house on Monday morning, about 15 boys and girls sitting on benches without maintaining social distance.
Teacher Nur Islam Mithu said, “At the request of the students, I arrange the private at home.”
Manju Ara Begum, the headmaster of Adamdighi IPJ Pilot School, said legal action would be taken if any teacher disobeyed government instructions to teach privately.
