Taskin receives injury during practice
Pacer Taskin Ahmed received injury during a practice session ahead of Two match Test and three-match ODIs series against the visiting West Indies. The Caribbeans cricket team has already arrived in Dhaka.
Taskin cracked his left hand's finger as he tried to stop a Tamim Iqbal drive while bowling at the nets yesterday. The right-arm was soon taken out of the practice and is expected to have a stitch on his finger last night.
“Taskin tore apart his finger and tonight [Monday] we will stitch the injury. We can determine the number of days of his unavailability only after he is given the stitches,’’ Bangladesh Cricket Board [BCB] physician Manjur Hossain told reporters on Monday.
Taskin is part of the preliminary squad for ODIs and Tests. Head coach Russell Domingo is very optimistic about him.

Bangladesh will return to international cricket after about 10-month long break due to an ongoing coronavirus pandemic with the series. The first ODI of the three-match series starting on January 20 at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
