Tarique's APS Apu arrested

BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman's former APS Mia Nuruddin Apu has been arrested in the case of money laundering and anti-terrorism laws, after recovering eight crores money from Motijheel in the capital.

RAB-1 arrested him from the United Hospital in the capital on Friday afternoon.

Apu was undergoing treatment at the hospital. Although he was arrested, he will be in the hospital. After being released from the hospital, he will be taken to RAB custody for the sake of investigation. RAB-1 captain Lt. Colonel Sarwar bin Kashem Arrested Mia Nuruddin Ap. He was BNP nominated candidate of Shariatpur-3 constituency in Eleventh National Parliament election.

It has been mentioned that RAB has recovered Tk 8 crores and Tk 10 crores from the capital's Motijheel on Dec 25. Three people were arrested on the same day who was carrying the money to buy the votes. The arrestees are Managing Director of United Corporation, Ali Haider, 24, Alamgir Hossain, 38, manager of Jhalakathi office of Amena Enterprise, and Joynal Abedin, 45, GM (Admin) of the same group. In this case, Apu listed as number-4 accused.

On that day, RAB said, the arrestee Ali Haider received Tk 8 crore and a check of 10 crore takas. A BNP leader's photo leaflet was also found along with Tarique Rahman's photo while money seized. The leader is BNP candidate Md. Nuruddin Ahmed (APU) of Shariatpur-3 constituency.
