Tamim Iqbal’s outstanding batting performance gave the Fortune Barishal a five wickets victory over Minister Group Rajshahi in the 6th match of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital on Saturday evening. This is the first victory for Barishal in the tournament.

Chasing an easy target of 133, Mehidy Hasan Miraz went to the dressing room for only 5 runs in the 2nd over of Rajshahi. Miraz uppercuts Ebadat’s ball, but straight down the throat of the thirdman fielder Rejaur. Miraz scored only 1 run.

After Miraz’s gone, Tamim Iqbal and Parvez Hossain Emon made an excellent partnership of 61 runs. Although Emon went to the pavilion in the 9th over, Tamim continues to score runs with Towhid Hridoy that helps him to get the fifty. Unbeaten Tamim took the team to a victory run with Mahidul Islam Ankon in the 19th over of the match.

Rajshahi’s Mukidul Islam took 2 wickets while Ebadat Hossain and Mahedi Hasan took one wicket each.
