Opener Tamim Iqbal hit a solid century as the Shakib Al Hasan-led team post a commanding 320 runs losing 6 against Mashrafe Bin Mortaza’s side in the opening intra-squad 50-over practice game at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur today.

Tamim scored 104 runs off 119 balls before being retired hurt while his opening partner Anamul Haque Bijoy scored 21. Shakib scored 24 and Sabbir Rahman, who has recently lost his central contract for beating up a cricket fan during a National Cricket League game, ended 20.

Mahmudullah Riyad provided the late propel with a 75-ball 87 while pace bowler Abul Hasan struck a 19-ball 35 that contained five fours and a six.

Mashrafe was the most expensive bowler, conceding 87 runs in his 9 overs without any success. Left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed and young right-arm pacer Saifuddin Ahmed took two wickets each. Mustafizur conceded 47 runs in his 10 overs, Saifuddin 44 in his nine overs and Taskin 43 in his six overs.
