The sports arena in the country was shut down due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic. However, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) allowed a few national team cricketers to practice privately in compliance with hygiene rules. Tiger ODI captain Tamim Iqbal did not join the training as he went to London for treatment. Returning from there, the left-arm batsman is currently in the 14-day quarantine.
The Tigers ODI captain said on Thursday that he would return to the training on Sunday. “I am following the rules of the government. After coming from abroad, I am in quarantine for 14 days,” he told the media.
“My quarantine period will be ended on August 15. I am planning to practice from 16,” he said.
I was given a paper from the airport to stay in quarantine for 14 days. I am planning to back in practice after the end of the 14-day quarantine. I have a practice schedule from August 16, Tamim also said.
