Indian authorities have opened Tamabil Land Port in Sylhet border for tourists’ movement and the travelers have started their journeys after opening the port at 11:30 am on Saturday.

Maudud Ahmed Rumi, customs police in-charge of customs station, said, “The Indian authorities have given permission to send the tourists around 11:30 am though tourists have to go to India at their own risk. In this situation, Indian authorities will not take responsibility for the safety of tourists.”

Earlier on Friday, the Indian authorities have been shut down to enter into India from the Tamabil-Dawki border for the Bangladeshis due to curfew issued in Meghalaya state in tension over the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill or CAB.

Bangladeshi tourists have been in trouble because of the closure of moving via Tambail customs station without prior announcement. On Friday, more than two hundred tourists returned from Tamabil as they cannot enter into India.
