Following the successful conclusion of the President's Cup, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is now moving ahead with plans to host the T20 tournament. The five-team tournament has been named Bangabandhu T20 Cup, could start at the end of November. The country's first sports-based TV channel T-Sports got the broadcast rights of the prestigious tournament.

The authorities of T-Sports Channel have confirmed the news of broadcasting the Bangabandhu T20 Tournament. In addition to the Bangabandhu T20 tournament, the channel will broadcast Bangladesh's two international football matches against Nepal on November 13 and 17.

Five teams will take part in the Bangabandhu T20 tournament. These are Beximco Dhaka, Minister Group Rajshahi, Jamcon Khulna, Fortune Barishal, and Gazi Group Chattogram.

Tiger all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will return to cricket with the T20 tournament, who was serving one-year ICC ban for not informing the bookie's approach.
