Sweety, Urmila made members of AL women’s subcommittee

The two most renowned actresses – Tanvin Sweety and Urmila Srabonti Kar – have been made as members of the Women Affairs Central Sub-Committee of the Bangladesh Awami League.
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader approved the 50-member sub-committee on Sunday.
Sweety got the post in the organizing committee of Awami League for the first time. Urmila Srabonti Kar, on the other hand, is a former member of the Reception Sub-Committee of the Awami League, 7th National Congress 2019. Before this, she was the Women’s Affairs Secretary of Chittagong University BCL and the Joint General Secretary of Awami Law Student Union of the same university.
After getting the post, Tanvin Sweety said, “I have been working for Awami League for a long time. I am happy to be a member of the women’s subcommittee. I will be able to do more for women by getting a place on this committee. This is a matter of happiness for me.”
“I am involved in Awami League politics as a family. I was active in politics even as a student. It is a pleasure for me to be a member of the women’s subcommittee. I hope I will be able to fulfill my responsibilities properly,” said Urmila Srabonti Kar.
