Supervisor killed in Rangpur bus-truck collision

A bus supervisor named Rezaul Karim was killed in a collision between a bus and a truck at Taraganj upazila in Rangpur. At least eight people were injured in the accident.
The accident took place on the Rangpur-Saidpur Highway adjacent to Kazi Farm in Harirampur of the upazila around 8:30 am on Wednesday.
The deceased Rezaul Karim, a resident of the Jaigirhat area of Mithapukur upazila in Rangpur.
Golam Kibria, in-charge of Taraganj Highway Police Outpost, said the Mithila Paribahan bus, which had left Dhaka, collided with a truck while overtaking.
The bus supervisor Rezaul Karim died on the spot. The injured were rushed to Rangpur Medical College Hospital and Taraganj Upazila Health Complex, he added.
