The students of seven colleges greeted police with flowers and called for cooperation on Wednesday afternoon
Students of seven colleges have protested by blocking the roads of the Science Lab intersection and Nilkhet in the capital in protest of the postponement of exams.
Police and students were facing off at the Science Lab intersection. During this, the students of seven colleges greeted the police with flowers and called for cooperation.
Earlier, the students blockade the Nilkhet intersection at 9:00 am. As a result, the vehicular movements on the nearby roads was halted.
It is to be noted that the oral examinations of 2019 Honors 4th year, 2019 Honors 3rd year and 2017 Master last year was going on in seven DU-affiliated government colleges. Besides, the examinations of Degree 3rd year was scheduled to held on February 28 and Honors 2nd year on March 10.
The principals of seven colleges had a meeting with the DU authorities on Tuesday evening. The meeting decided to postpone the examination. After that, the students blockade the Nilkhet intersection.
