Students aged 12-17 will be given Pfizer jab: Health Minister

Health Minister Zahid Maleque today said that students aged 12-17 will be given Pfizer’s vaccine jab. 

“Pfizer vaccines would be given to students aged between 12 and 17. All kinds of preparations have already been made. The campaign will start in the next 15-20 days. A contract worth Tk 10 crore has been signed with the World Health Organization,” he said.

Health Minister Zahid Maleque made the remarks while addressing an exchange meeting for the development of Manikganj Municipality on Saturday.

He added the government has vaccinated 2.5 crore people so far. “We are fine. The wheels of our economy are also in motion,” said Health Minister Zahid Maleque.

Presided over by Manikganj Municipality Mayor Md. Ramjan Ali, Manikganj DC Abdul Latif, SP Golam Azad Khan, District Council Chairman Advocate Golam Mohiuddin and others spoke on the occasion.
