Storm hits coastline, advice to stay safe

The sea is very fuming near the epicenter of cyclone ‘Bulbul’, informed Ayesha Khatun, deputy director of the Meteorological Department at a press conference to inform the latest situation of the cyclone Bulbul at the Meteorological Department's Media Center at 8 pm on Saturday.

At the same time, she said the cyclone Bulbul, located in the northwest Bay of Bengal and its adjoining areas, was moving at a speed of about 15 km north-east, with a latitude of 21-degree north and longitude 88 degrees east. It was located at 445 km south-west of the Chattogram port, 445 km south-west of Cox's Bazar port, 240 km south-west of Mongla seaport and 275 km south-west of Payra port.

It is moving further north-northeast by evening, crossing the coast of West Bengal and Khulna near the Sundarbans. Storms are blowing at a maximum speed of 120 km per hour, increasing up to 140 km per hour in the form of a gust of windstorms in the coastal areas of Bangladesh.
