Jumu'ah day, the Weekly Eid of Muslim Ummah is the best day of the week. On this day special prayers are accepted. In the Holy Qur'an and Hadith, the importance and significance of the days of Jumu'ah are stated.

Regarding the Day of Jumu'ah and the Importance of Jumu'ah Prayer, The Great Rabbul Alamin Allah Ta'ala himself has highlighted in the Quran. The Holy Quran is intended,

'O you who believe! On the day of Jumu'ah, when prayers are offered, you rush to Allah's remembrance and stop buying and selling. This is better for you if you understand. Then when the prayer is over, you should spread it on the earth and seek the favor of Allah and remember Allah more and more, so that you may succeed. (Surah Jumu'ah: Verses 09-11).

Jumu'ah Day in Hadith: In the Hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah, the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said, "The person who performed the obeisance, then came to say Jumu'ah prayer and listened silently to the khutbah. The sins that the man commits throughout the week from the Jumu'ah day to the next and an additional three days’ sins will be forgiven. (Muslim, Hadith Number: 857)

Jumu'ah prayers provisions: Jumu'ah prayers have been made obligatory on Friday. Two rak'ats of Forz Salah and Imam's Khutbah have been replaced by four rak'at forz prayers in Johor. A hadith has been narrated from Hazrat Tariq bin Shihab (RA). He said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) has said that it is an obligatory duty to perform Jumu'ah prayers on all Muslims except the four: slaves, women, minor children, and the sick people. (Abu Dawood, Hadith Number: 1067)

In a hadith narrated by Abdullah bin Abbas, the Prophet (PBUH) has said, "The person who forgets the prayers of the Jummah for any lawful reason, his name will be recorded as a hypocritical office ( Dafter of Munafiq) which will not be removed or changed.". ' (Tafsir Mazhari, Vol: 09, Page: 283)

In the Hadith narrated by Abdullah bin Masood (RA), the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said that those who refrain from praying in Jumu'ah, say: "I wish that I commanded anyone to pray. Offer prayers Then, as for those who do not pray in the Jumu'ah, I will burn down their houses. (Muslim, Hadith Number: 652)

Prohibited activities during Jumu'ah:
There are some obligatory provisions in the time of Jumu'ah, from the time of Azan until the end of prayers. At this time some provisions have to be complied with. Nothing can be done out of religious law. For example, being busy in business or in vain, even after Azan. It is obligatory to listen to the Khutba for the Muslims present. Therefore, it is not valid in the Shariah view to engaging in vain acts during the Khutba.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) said that the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said that if you say to your companion, 'Shut up' when delivering Khutba on the day of Jumu'ah, you have made nonsense talks. " (Sahih Bokhari: 1/128)

The hadith narrated clearly shows that it is obligatory to listen to the Khutba in silence and it is forbidden to speak during Khutba.

In Fataawa Shami, a reliable treatise on Fiqh Shastra, one of the principles stated that actions that are forbidden in prayers are prohibited even during the Khutba. For example, talking, eating and drinking. (Fatwaay Shami: 3/35)

Special Practices on Jumu'ah Day:

There are unlimited bounties and rewards on the day of Jumu'ah. The Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him) mentioned these virtues in several hadiths. In the Hadith of Bokhari Sharif, the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) has said that when a man takes a bath on the day of Jumu'ah, attains purity as practicable, uses oil or the perfume that is in his house, then he (for Zuma) comes out and (for sitting) doesn’t divide two persons, then pray as possible, and when the Imam speaks he remains silent, then his (sin) is forgiven until the other Jumu'ah.

According to the hadith, the religious jurists (Faqih) have specified these practices. For example, 1. Bathing on Jumu'ah day; the Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him) has made obligatory the bathing on that day for those on whom Jumu'ah is Far’z 2. Nails cutting and haircuts are a good thing to do that day as part of cleanliness. 3. Using perfume for Jumu'ah Salah. (Bukhari) 4. Miswak (Ibn Majah). 5. Use of oil (Bukhari) 6. Wearing good clothes (Ibn Majah). 7. Sitting face to face with the Imam (Tirmizi). 8. Going to the mosque on foot (Abu Dawood). 09. More and more Darud Sharif recites on Zuma day and night (Abu Dawood). 10. Praying more on this day (Bukhari). 11. Do not proceed to the front of the mosque through the gap of the people (Bukhari). 12. Read Surah Kahaf on Jummah day. For the reader, Allah Ta'ala illuminates the time between the two Jumu'ah.
