South Korean Ambassador calls on DU VC

South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Jang-Keun called on Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Akhtaruzzaman at the latter`s office
South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Jang-Keun on Wednesday called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Akhtaruzzaman at his office.
Deputy Chief of the South Korean Embassy Chiol-Sang Kim was present also present at this time, said a press release of the university.
During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relationship between the two countries, emphasized expanding joint education, research, and other activities between Dhaka University, KOICA, and various universities in South Korea.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Akhtaruzzaman briefed the Ambassador on the history and educational activities of Dhaka University.
DU Vice-Chancellor said that South Korea is one of the partners in the development of Bangladesh. The Vice-Chancellor expressed hope that all the teachers and students of Dhaka University who have obtained higher education especially PhD degrees from various universities in South Korea will play a role as a bridge between the two countries in education and socio-economic development.
South Korean Ambassador Mr. Lee Jang-keun said that South Korea and Bangladesh have long enjoyed excellent friendly relations. He expressed interest in further enhancing South Korea's cooperation in the field of Korean language education, the Center for Innovation Creativity and Entrepreneurship, and other areas at the Institute of Modern Languages, Dhaka University.
Professor. Md. Akhtaruzzaman thanked the South Korean Ambassador for visiting Dhaka University and for expressing interest in further enhancing collaborative education and research activities.
