Soumitra transferred to cabin from ICU

The physical condition of Indian legendary actor Soumitra Chatterjee is now better than before. He was shifted from the Intensive Care Center (ICU) to a cabin on Friday of Ruby Hospital.

According to doctors, the physical condition of Soumitra Chatterjee has been improving since last Thursday. Right now, there is nothing to be worried about. He has no fever.

Initially, he had to given oxygen artificially. It has also withdrawn. Now, he is able to breathe normally. He is eating normal food. But, he will be under the supervision of doctors for the next few days.

Meanwhile, popular Indian hero Prosenjit Chatterjee visited Ruby Hospital on Friday to look up Soumitra Chatterjee. He spent some time with Soumitra Chatterjee and inquired about his treatment.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has looked up the health condition of Soumitra Chatterjee at Ruby Hospital over phone call. She sent flowers through Minister Arup Biswas and talked over the phone with the legend. Mamata expressed eager to meet him after recovering.

According to doctors statement, Soumitra Chatterjee has various physical problems including pneumonia and old age complications.  Apart from pneumonia, there are sodium and potassium regarding problems.  And he is suffering in COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).

On Wednesday, Soumitra Chatterjee suddenly fell ill at his home of Golf Green in Kolkata. During this, he suffered from fever and shortness breathing problem. His family members took him to the hospital immediately. After observing his physical condition, doctors admitted him to the Intensive Care Center (ICU) of the hospital.
