Sinha murder: Pradeep did not give confessional statement

The court has sent Pradeep Kumar Das to jail after remanding him in the fourth phase of the murder case of retired Major Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan. However, he did not testify under section 164.
RAB produced Pradeep in the court of Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna Farah at 3.30 pm on Tuesday. Later, the court sent him to jail at 4.30 pm.
RAB-15 senior ASP Khairul Islam, who is investigating the case, said Teknaf Police Station's sacked OC Pradeep Kumar Das has been remanded in custody for 15 days for questioning in four phases in connection to the Sinha murder case. He has given important information about the case for a long time.
ASP Khairul said, "We are checking and sorting out that information." Tuesday was the last day of the one-day remand in the fourth round. We handed him over to the court. The court sent him to jail.
In the first phase, on August 18, the court granted seven-day remand to Pradeep Kumar Das, Liaquat, and Nandadulal Rakshit. Then on August 24, Pradeep and seven other policemen were remanded for four days in the second phase. On August 26, the Senior Judicial Magistrate (Teknaf-3) granted a three-day remand to Pradeep, Liaquat, and Nandadulal Rakshit in the third phase.
