Sinha Murder : Liaquat deposes in court

Dismissed Police Inspector Liaquat Ali has given a confessional statement in the murder case of retired Major Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan.
He made the deposition in the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna Farah on Sunday afternoon.
Earlier, Liaquat, the prime accused of the case was brought to the court at 11.45 pm. Then the deposition record begins.
According to RAB sources, the court granted three-day remand to sacked OC Pradeep Kumar Das, Inspector Liaquat Ali and ASI Nandadulal Rakshit, in the third phase on August 28. A day after the remand was granted, Liaquat Ali was brought to the court to give a confessional statement under section 164.
Earlier, on August 6, the court granted seven-day remand to seven policemen, including Pradeep, Liaquat and Nandadulal. After the first phase of remand, RAB asked for another seven days remand on August 24. The court granted a four-day remand. When the four-day remand ended, another four-day application was made in the third phase for the sake of investigation. The court then granted them a three-day remand.
