Singer warehouse fire under control after 3.5hrs

The blaze that torched at a warehouse of Singer Electronics in the Rajfulbaria area of Savar has been brought under control. 12 units of the fire service tried for three and a half hours to bring the fire under control.
Earlier, the blaze broke out at 8 am on Thursday (August 5). The fire came under control at 11:30 am.
Upon receiving the fire broke out 8 am, two units of Savar Fire Service and two units of DEPZ Fire Service started working to control the fire at the spot. However, due to the excessive heat of the fire, 8 more units started working to control the fire in and around the Savar tannery outpost. When 12 units started working, the blaze was brought under control at 11:30 pm, said fire service personnel.
Zahirul Islam, senior station officer of Savar Fire Service, said it took time to bring the fire under control as the heat of the fire was high. “The blaze was brought under control after three and a half hours,” he also said.
Initially, the onset of the fire was not known. Details will be informed later, Zahirul Islam added.
