Sihab murder in Santahar: Case filed against 8

A teenager named Sihab Hossain has been stabbed to death in Damdama village of Santahar Upazila in Bogura. The incident took place in Kadma Bailey Bridge area of ​​the upazila.

According to police and villagers, several people, including Sihab - son of Sohag of Damdama Uttar Para, locked into an altercation with the youngest son of Ekhlas of Karjbari village in Adamdighi on the afternoon of Eid. At one stage, they got into a fight.

Over the incident, some people including Shiplu - the eldest son of Ekhlas - took up position in the bridge area on Sunday afternoon and started looking for Sihab and his classmates. Meanwhile, another young man named Sihab - son of Harun Ar Rashid, a vegetable seller in the eastern part of the village - was crossing the bridge in the evening. Shiplu called him and asked his name. As soon as he replied 'Sihab', they stabbed him in the throat.

Sihab's classmates Prahor, son of Tutul and Zakir, son of Shahidul were also stabbed to injured. Later, Sihab, Prahor and Zakir were rescued from the spot and taken to Naogaon Sadar Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared Sihab dead. 

Sihab's father Harun Ar Rashid filed a murder case against Shiplu and eight others on Monday evening.

Adamdighi Police Station OC Jalal Uddin said that Sihab's body was handed over to his family after an autopsy.
