Shuvoo acted in biopic for ‘Tk 1’, terms this as biggest feat

Popular actor of Dhaka film Arifin Shuvoo has taken “only Tk 1” remuneration for acting in the biopic titled ‘Bangabandhu’ f Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Shuvoo thinks this movie is the “biggest achievement” of his career in a decade.
Arifin Shuvoo shared a picture of a check of Tk 1 on his official Facebook page on Wednesday with captioned, “There was only one condition - I will take an honorarium of Tk 1. Money may bring some worldly happiness, but it will not satisfy the soul.”
The check was signed by the Managing Director of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC).
About this, Arifin Shuvoo said, “I think being able to act in the biopic ‘Bangabandhu’ of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is the biggest achievement of my career.”
“I don’t want to measure this work with money. That is why such thoughts came to mind. But at first, they did not want to agree to my terms. I had to fight for this. I am very happy to receive the check of one taka finally,” Shuvoo added.
It is to be mentioned that the shooting of most parts of the movie ‘Bangabandhu’ was completed in Mumbai, India last January. Director Shyam Benegal will start shooting the Bangladesh part of the movie next September.
