Showbiz arena mourns Asa’s sudden death

TV actress Asa Chowdhury has died in a road accident (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un). the showbiz arena has mourned at the sudden death of Asha in the road accident.
The accident took place at the Darussalam area in the capital’s Mirpur on Monday night. Her body had been lying on the road for a long time after the accident. Later, police recovered her body and sent Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital morgue.
Confirming the matter to Daily Bangladesh, Playwright Ruman Runi said, “A speedy truck crushed her when she was crossing the road in the Darussalam area. The actress died on the spot.”
Ruman Runi wrote on his Facebook wall on Tuesday afternoon, “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un. My dear friend is no more. Asha Chowdhury died in a road accident. I want everyone’s blessings.”
Citing the family of the deceased, SI Sohan Ahmed of Darussalam Police Station told Daily Bangladesh that Asa was a student of the law department of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT). Besides studying, she also worked in a private buying house.
As per the inquest report of the body, it seems that the girl was killed in a road accident. An autopsy will reveal the exact cause of death, he added.
Asa Chowdhury was listed on Bangladesh Television. She regularly acted in solo plays. She has also been seen in telefilms and drama serials. Recently, she took part in the shooting of the play ‘The Revenge’ directed by Ruman Runi.
