Sherpur reports six new coronavirus infected cases

Six more people including bank an official and health workers have been infected with coronavirus in Sherpur. The district has recorded 114 infected cases so far.
The newly infected were tested positive at the PCR unit of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital on Thursday night, said district coronavirus concerned focal person Dr. Mubarak Hossain.
Dr. Mubarak said two of the newly identified were from Sadar upazila. The other four live in Nalitabari upazila. So far, 58 infected have recovered and one died.
Besides, the remaining 55 patients are being treated in isolation wards of different hospitals in five upazilas of the district on the advice of doctors. Again, many are in isolation in their own homes. The homes of all those receiving treatments from their homes have been locked down.
He added that samples of every officer and employee of the bank where the newly infected bank official worked, would be collected on Saturday for testing.
