The 8-year-old grandson of Awami League leader Sheikh Selim was killed in Sunday’s explosions in Sri Lanka and his son-in-law was injured.

Moshiul Haque Chowdhury Prince, the son-in-law of Sheikh Selim and his grandson Jayan Chowdhury were at a restaurant when a bomb exploded there.

Moshiul Haque Chowdhury Prince now is in hospital after sustaining injuries, said a source of his family on Sunday night.

Earlier, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam said that two Bangladeshi nationals have remained missing since the blasts in Sri Lanka while other members of their family were accounted.

A series of blasts at churches and hotels in and just outside Sri Lanka's capital killed at least 290 people and injured hundreds more on Easter Sunday.

It was the country’s worst violence since a bloody civil war ended a decade ago.
