Shakib scores duck, Mohammedan concedes hat-trick defeat

Mohammedan Sporting Club has conceded their hat-trick defeat after losing to Legends of Rupganj by 9 wickets in the sixth round match of Dhaka Premier League (DPL). Shakib was out for zero runs (duck) with the bat.
Mohammedan won the toss and elected to bat in Mirpur. They lost 6 wickets within 27 runs. Captain Shakib Al Hasan could not get out of the batting failure. After playing six balls, he returned to the dugout without any score.
In the end, Mohammedan scored 113 runs in 20 overs after losing 9 wickets with the help of Shuvagata Hom’s 52 runs off 32 balls. Abu Hider Rony played an innings of 15 runs off 25 balls.
Rupganj did not face any difficulty to win the match. Pinak Ghosh and Mehedi Maruf scored 69 runs in the opening pair. Although Maruf was dismissed for 41 off 46 balls, Pinak Ghosh played an unbeaten 51 off 51 balls. Besides, 14 runs of 13 balls came from Sabbir Rahman’s bat.
Shakib gave 16 runs in 3.1 over without any wicket. Mahmudul Hasan took the only wicket.

Legends of Rupganj: 117/1 (18.1 overs): Pinak 51*, Maruf 41, Sabbir 14*; Mahmudul 11/1.
Results: Legends of Rupganj won by 9 wickets.
