World-class all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has returned home from the United States ahead of the upcoming home series against the West Indies. He will join the national team training which will start on January 10.
After staying in the United States for about two and a half weeks, Shakib landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital at 10:00 am on a Qatar Airways flight on Sunday. Mother Shirin Akhter was also returned with him.
Shakib went to the United States at midnight on December 15 to see his sick father-in-law Mumtaz Ahmed, 72. But Umme Ahmed Shishir’s father Mamtaz Ahmed breathed his last before his arrival. Shakib took part in the last rites including Namaz-e-Janaza and burial.
Before coming to the country, however, the world’s best all-rounder gave great news to his fans. On the first day of the new year, he said he is going to be the father of the third child.
